Louisiana Economic Development Welcome Center (LED) is dedicated to fostering growth, innovation, and connection across the state, supporting businesses, communities, and workforce development initiatives that drive long-term economic progress. The Louisiana Economic Development Welcome Center was designed by KV Workspace in collaboration with Hoffpauir Studio and CDI Solutions to reflect this mission as a dynamic, public-facing environment that serves as a first point of engagement for visitors, partners, and stakeholders. The space balances transparency and structure to create a welcoming, professional setting that mirrors LED’s role as a catalyst for economic opportunity. Open lounge and touchdown areas were intentionally incorporated to encourage informal collaboration, conversation, and relationship-building, reinforcing the organization’s emphasis on accessibility and partnership. Simple, modern lines paired with a light, open palette establish an environment that feels both approachable and forward-looking, aligning with LED’s commitment to progress and statewide impact.
In addition to the Welcome Center, KV Workspace furnished Louisiana Economic Development’s administrative offices located on the 7th and 9th floors of a separate building. These office environments support the daily operations behind the agency’s public mission and include private offices, open workstations, breakroom seating, and multiple lounge areas designed to accommodate focused work, collaboration, and employee comfort. Together, the Welcome Center and office spaces create a cohesive workplace ecosystem that reflects LED’s values of connection, adaptability, and thoughtful growth.

Located in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge, the Big River Economic & Agricultural Development Alliance, BREADA, serves as the nonprofit organization behind the Red Stick Farmers Market, bringing together local farmers, food producers, and residents in a shared community space. Beyond operating the market, the organization supports small businesses, promotes healthy eating initiatives, and provides programs that strengthen the local food system and foster connections across the region.
KV Workspace furnished tables, chairs, stools, and lounge areas throughout the space to support the daily rhythm of the market and enhance the overall visitor experience. These furnishings create comfortable places for guests to sit, gather, and enjoy meals purchased from local vendors, reinforcing the welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that defines the market. KV Workspace refreshed the office for the Jefferson Parish Streets Department, updating the smaller workspace to create a lighter, more comfortable environment for daily operations. The design introduced a light, airy feel with muted tones and branded blue accents, along with light wood laminate finishes across workstations and private offices to bring a clean, updated look to the space.
The office also includes a lounge area that provides a welcoming place for staff to connect, as well as a well-sized conference room to support team meetings and coordination. This refresh helps create an environment where employees can stay focused on their work managing, repairing, and constructing the streets of Jefferson Parish.

Characterized by a relaxing and friendly color palette, the design emphasizes flow and collaboration. To enhance flexibility, the addition of small meeting rooms or touchdown spaces with modular walls allows for seamless adaptability; integrating gallery walls and combination solid and glass panels with high-capacity workstations allows for privacy and focus. The break room becomes a vibrant social hub with lounge and cafe seating and tables. Introducing Cabana Lounge Seating prioritizes comfort and privacy for a rejuvenating break experience, while height-adjustable private office desks contribute to an ergonomic and dynamic workspace, successfully marrying aesthetics with employee well-being.

Louisiana University Marine Consortium
The LUMCON Marine Consortium in Houma, LA, recently expanded its state-of-the-art facility with a new build that enhances its mission to promote, facilitate, and conduct research and education collaborations among Louisiana’s universities in marine and coastal sciences. As part of this project, we provided chairs, tables, storage, and lab casework from a state contract manufacturer. The labs were equipped with Very task chairs and stools, VWR lab tables, and storage solutions. Phenolic tops were used for all lab surfaces, ensuring they are non-reactive to chemical spills, making the facility safer and more durable for advanced research. This expansion will enable LUMCON to explore new ways to support the sustainability of the coastal and marine environments of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Prairieville High School project involved a comprehensive redesign of administrative areas across the Fieldhouse, Gym, and Main Building, with a focus on creating functional and vibrant administrative spaces before the start of the new school year. The project utilized durable and stylish furniture from the Haworth state contract, ensuring both quality and adherence to staff needs. The Administrative areas were designed for efficiency and aesthetic appeal, while teacher and staff break rooms were crafted to be comfortable and refreshing, incorporating school colors to enhance cohesion and school spirit. Meticulous project management and coordination ensured that all installations were completed on time, allowing the new spaces to be fully operational before the summer break ended.

The design features sleek, minimal lines with a clean look, incorporating muted colors alongside the signature Honda blue. Lounge and waiting areas were outfitted with Haworth Poppy chairs and Tuohy Pleat Lounge, creating a welcoming and high-end atmosphere, while individual offices, touchdown areas, and a breakroom provide functional and comfortable spaces for employees. These elements create a welcoming environment that meets the needs of students, faculty, and visitors while complementing the campus atmosphere.
The River Residence Hall Administrative Office combines sleek design with efficiency. The private office includes ample storage with overhead closed cabinets and bookshelves, supporting various needs in a modern, streamlined workspace.

After working in a closed floor plan with walls creating hallways and bookcases dividing rooms along with traditional dark-colored furnishings, the client, GNO, Inc.’, desired the complete opposite for their new office space. The new 9,300 SF space located on the 34th floor at the heart of the business district is a combination of three separate office suites into a single space. Curtain wall throughout the floor allows light to filter through the private offices and into the entire space. For the private office, KV Workspace used the 1,500 SF board room, KV Workspace utilized stack chairs for easy storage.

KDHSA presented us with a unique challenge: design a library catering to diverse student learning styles. The library, serving as the central hub for the school, required flexibility and reconfigurability for events, lessons, and student activities. Adhering to the Thornburg Metaphors for Learning, we strategically created single-person nooks nestled between bookcases and desks to facilitate independent studies. For collaborative learning, we incorporated mobile seating, stools, and tables that can accommodate 2 to 6 individuals. Additionally, we introduced desks and chairs with casters and lounge seating to accommodate lectures or guest speakers. Ensuring cleanable surfaces and cohesiveness with the school’s vibrant lime and blue colors, the result is a thriving library ready to host students, teachers, and guests for every educational occasion.

Son of a Saint is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Bivian “Sonny” Lee III that provides mentorships and developmental skills to fatherless boys in the local New Orleans community. We are proud to have worked with and sponsored such a great local organization. Alongside Haworth, KV Workspace donated a portion of the cost of the products provided to Son of a Saint to help support the space that hosts their programs and services while giving the space a clean and seamless look. The McCalman Building
For this specific project, KV Workspace worked towards improving the office space for Avior Solutions’ corporate office located on the Northshore in Covington. The client was looking for highly functional, yet elegant, classic designs with a touch of contemporary furniture that would bring life to the employees work spaces. Through the use of Haworth Enclose floor to ceiling glass, wood and painted demountable walls we were able to provide the flexibility the client desired while maintaining a sophisticated executive look. The wood finishes on the executive desks and furnishings match the woods used throughout on the modular walls to create a cohesive professional atmosphere. A 20 foot section of frameless “switch glass” was used in our Haworth EFG product across the entire front of the conference room to provide instant privacy when desired by the client. The switch glass allows for a quick and easy transition from a fully opaque glass wall to clear glass. When not in use the switch glass conference wall allows for daylight and views of the exterior to be seen as you enter the space.

The incorporation of moveable walls facilitates the creation of sections for individual offices or multi-user spaces, adapting to diverse needs. The design showcases a captivating magenta tone with a lively pop of yellow, infusing energy throughout. Highlighting the Poppy executive chairs and versatile Very task chairs for seating, this setup offers comfort and sophistication. The space is intended for hosting meetings, events, and collaborative sessions, fostering an empowering environment for women in a flexible, dynamic workspace.

“Wymar Federal Credit Union began as a dated 1250 SF workspace that was insufficient and unwelcoming to future employees and customers. Crump Wilson provided a design solution that provided a visually open environment, allowing natural light to flow into the offices through the lobby with Haworth Enclose glass and frosted demountable walls.The renovation also included the addition of a 950 SF office space, allowing for separation between the tellers and the office environment, creating sufficient flow for both the employees and the customers.
