We are excited to share more details about our project for the Dillard University Student Union. This project has breathed new life into the heart of the campus, creating a vibrant and inviting space for students to relax, collaborate, and learn together.
Creating A Sense of Community
The main goal for this project: to create a bright and colorful environment that would foster productivity, engagement, and a sense of community among Dillard University students. By exclusively utilizing Haworth furniture pieces, we made sure that every element of the redesign would embody quality, innovation, and style.
Bright And Colorful Pieces
The main lounge area has many different types of seating for the different needs of students. For relaxing collaboration, or just a quick snack, the Cabana Lounge with integrated power is put to great use, as seen above in blue and green. Using Jive tables along with bench seating and Resonate chairs gives a great combination of comfort, utility, and the flexibility to move furnishing pieces as needed.
In a learning environment, you can still have fun with color and texture. The Cultivate Table, above, with bright yellow legs, adds an unexpected pop of color. The soft blue tones in the Very Seminar chairs complement the pop of yellow and provide a comfortable seat for collaborative learning spaces.
The pop of yellow doesn’t stop at the table base! Openest Chick Pouf chairs have a uniquely versatile design with lots of color-blocking opportunities. Paired with an existing rich cobalt lounge provided by Dillard, this duo of comfortable seating is a great place for breakout discussions or cozying up with some homework.
The New Student Union
The Dillard University Student Union space has now become a vibrant hub of activity, where students can gather, collaborate, and cultivate lasting connections. The careful curation of furnishings and the integration of bright colors and energizing design elements have contributed to a welcoming environment that inspires creativity and productivity.
This project stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful furnishing design in creating spaces that foster growth, community, and an enriching student experience.
